With over four decades of business leadership and a passion for helping people resolve conflict peacefully, Don Saunders brings a unique blend of experience, empathy, and entrepreneurial spirit to his work as a professional mediator.
Don’s journey began in corporate banking, where he served for 14 years as Vice President of Consumer Lending at Dominion Bankshares Corporation—then the fifth largest bank in Virginia. In 1994, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Saunders Landscape Supply in Chantilly, Virginia. Under Don’s leadership, the company grew into a multi-million-dollar enterprise, which he successfully sold in 2022.
Never one to sit still, Don then launched Port to Port Yacht Transport, a thriving business based in Annapolis, Maryland, that provides yacht transportation services by both land and sea. His wide-ranging business experience has taught him the value of clear communication, practical problem-solving, and maintaining respect in even the most complex negotiations—all qualities he now brings to the field of mediation.
